AREA OF ORIGIN:

The hilly territory in the provinces of Ascoli-Piceno and Ancona that runs from the Misa river to Abruzzo, marked by the Tronto river. The Marche’s most extensive wine zone.

COLOUR:

Ruby red tending to orange with age (after three years).

FLAVOUR:

Delightful vinous aroma when young. Fades with age to reveal fruity and floral aromas.

TASTE:

Dry, pleasant, vinous, sapid and harmonious. A persistence of flavour reminiscent of plums and red flowers.

ALCOHOL CONTENT:

12,5% vol.

SERVING TEMPERATURE:

Best served at room temperature (16°-18°) and opened a few hours before serving.

ACCOMPANYMENT:

Roasts, game, cheeses and most strong-flavoured dishes. Hearty soups, pulses and fish chowders.
