Lacrima. May contain Montepulciano and Verdicchio grape varieties, combined or singly, in amounts of no more than 15%

AREA OF ORIGIN:
This includes a very small area in the province of Ancona, north of the River Esino, including 6 municipalities: Morro d’Alba (from which it takes it name), Monte S. Vito, Belvedere Ostrense, Ostram Senigallia (not including valley bottoms and the slopes overlooking).
APPEARANCE:
Deep ruby red colour with hints of purple in the first period.
AROMA:
Pleasant, intense, persistent and fruity bouquet. Hints of red and woodland berry fruits.
TASTE:
Pleasantly dry, flavoursome wine with a characteristic softness on the palate.
ALCOHOL CONTENT:
Min. 12,5% vol.
SERVING TEMPERATURE:
18° – 20°
SERVE WITH:
An excellent wine to serve with meat, charcuterie, cheeses and strong pasta dishes. Also an optimum wine to conclude a meal.
PERFECT AGE:
Usually drunk while young (lively aroma and flavour). Can also be moderately age (laid down for 2-3 years) for an aroma and flavour that takes on floral hints of broom, heather and blueberry.
