Mostly Trebbiano Toscano (20%), Passerina (10%) and Pecorino (10%).
D.O.C. – Denominazione origine controllata.
AREA OF ORIGIN:
The hilly territory of the province of Ascoli Piceno, excluding
the belt of high hills and mountains and the valley bottom.
Delicate straw yellow. An early harvest creates a wine with notably
fresh aromas, lively acidity and greenish hues.
A lightly fragrant wine with fresh aromas of green pome fruit and
peach and acacia flowers.
Dry, savoury, harmonious and slightly acidic. The myriad tastes, aromas
and textures blend effortlessly with subtle pseudo-sweet, tangy notes.
8 – 12°.
A mellow accompaniment to shellfish and an excellent
aperitif. Marries beautifully with olive all’ascolana – green olives stuffed with meat or fish, rolled in breadcrumbs and then fried.
The wine’s crispness and aroma are at their best in the first year. Ages well up to two years, developing in flavour and maturity.
